METRO TECH SYSTEMS LTD. has been serving clients throughout North America since 1969 providing quality testing and analysis of their Petroleum Products and Lubricants. To us, an analysis must include not only proper testing methods and correct results but also, understandable and meaningful interpretation and advice.

Without the dedication and tireless efforts of our founder and past president, William Tanguay, Metro Tech Systems would not be the industry standard for quality and customer service that it is today. William was an active member of ASTM for decades. He was the chairman of the ASTM Subcommittee D2.06D, Subcommittee 6 which is the committee for the Analysis of Lubricants. Subcommittee 6D is the Editorial Committee responsible for Editing, Terminology, Precision and Safety Hazards of the test methods under the jurisdiction of Committee 6. William was also Vice Chairman of ASTM Subcommittee D02.03, the committee for Elemental Analysis. In 1991 William was presented with an Award of Appreciation for his work on Committee D-2 and then in 2005 he was presented an Award of Excellence for Committee D02. William passed away November 16, 2019, 10 days shy of his 92nd birthday. We dedicate each and every analysis to his memory.

OUR PURPOSE is to provide a profitable analytical and consulting service to the producers and users of Petroleum Products. We shall provide cost effective services and solutions to our clients’ problems and will be a partner in their greater efficiency and profitability.

Edwards Deming therefore; all who receive remuneration in our company are actively involved and are committed to the pursuit of excellence.

WITHIN OUR EXPERTISE, we have and will continue to assume a leadership role in the use and development of the necessary TECHNOLOGY to perform our function. As such therefore, we shall continue to participate in the Research and Development of Test Methods and Specifications of the materials related to our purpose.

Our Dedicated Lab Staff

The lab staff of Metro Tech are highly trained and dedicated to the pursuit of excellence when it comes to all fluid analysis. With a combined 80 plus years of experience within the Metro Tech lab, you know that you will get the best analysis results available. If anything looks amiss with your analysis, the staff will always go back over the results and make sure that what they report is absolutely correct. Lead by Terence Wong, Lab Operations Manager, the technicians go that extra mile to ensure that the results you get are the most accurate available. If you have any questions or concerns about your results, they are always available to discuss them with you.

Results Online

We will be launching our new online web portal so you can view your results as soon as they are processed. You will be able to print the familiar Lab Report or you can just check the results and compare to previous results online. This will allow you to view the results on your mobile device or computer. No more waiting for an emailed copy or losing the report, it will always be available whenever you need to view it.
